Excellence
We ship work that stands next to the best streaming products in the world, not the best in our category. Craft, performance and finish are the baseline, not the stretch goal.
Careers
We build BMT from five countries. Here is how the team works and what we are hiring for.
Four things we actually hire and promote against. Written the way they show up in the work, not the way they look on a wall.
We ship work that stands next to the best streaming products in the world, not the best in our category. Craft, performance and finish are the baseline, not the stretch goal.
We build for an audience we belong to. Nobody here has to explain why a character prays or translate their reference points before a meeting can start.
Five countries, many languages, one standard of respect. Decisions are written down so the person two time zones away has the same context as the person in the room.
Small teams with real ownership, short paths from idea to production, and the freedom to try the version nobody has built yet, including the ones that do not work.
The same package wherever you are based, adjusted for local market rates rather than local expectations.
Benchmarked to the top quartile of the market you work in, reviewed every year, with meaningful equity for every permanent hire, not just leadership.
Global medical, dental and mental health cover for you and your dependants, valid in every country we employ in, with no waiting period.
Work from wherever you are best, with core overlap hours between 12:00 and 16:00 GMT. Offices in London, Nairobi and Dubai are there if you want them, not required.
£2,000 a year for courses, conferences, coaching or equipment for your craft, plus paid time to actually use it.
Untracked holiday with a 25-day minimum we insist on, public holidays of your choosing, and Eid and Ramadan schedules built into the calendar by default.
Your choice of laptop, a £750 home-office budget and a data allowance for anyone working from a connection that needs it.
We fly the whole company together twice a year. Once for planning, once purely to spend time in the same room. Travel, accommodation and time are on us.
Twelve roles across five teams. If none of them fit but you belong here, send a general application, we read those too.
The playback, personalisation and platform work behind BMT Direct and BMT Core.
Own the playback path end to end: adaptive bitrate tuning, DRM, offline downloads and startup time on low-bandwidth networks across Africa and the Gulf.
Build the recommendation models that power For You rows and faith-conscious filtering, with privacy controls treated as a product requirement rather than an afterthought.
Ship the web and TV experiences in React and TypeScript, holding a hard line on performance budgets, accessibility and right-to-left support.
Commissioning, production and the editorial voice of BMT Studios and BMT Pulse.
Find and develop factual series from West Africa, from first pitch to greenlight, and give every creator who submits a written answer worth reading.
Run live news, sport and community events: booking, rundowns, gallery direction and the calm judgement a breaking story needs.
Own subtitling and dubbing quality in English, Arabic, French, Hausa and Somali, and build the vendor network that keeps turnaround under two weeks.
Getting BMT in front of households and keeping them for the long run.
Design onboarding, win-back and retention journeys for a £1.99 subscription where every percentage point of churn matters more than any acquisition spike.
Build the regional advertising book from first principles, selling sponsorship and programmatic inventory to brands that want this audience treated with respect.
Rights, finance, people and the systems that keep a global team honest.
Track windows, territories and renewals across the catalogue, and make sure every creator and rights holder is paid on the thirty-day cycle we promise them.
Run hiring, onboarding and global employment across five countries, and protect the parts of the culture that do not survive on their own as we grow.
The look, feel and clarity of every BMT surface.
Design browse, watch and account flows for phones, tablets and ten-foot TV screens, with a design system that has to work in Arabic as well as it does in English.
Extend the BMT identity into title art, campaign work and the launch of originals, keeping the cinematic tone consistent across every market.
Four steps, roughly four weeks, and a written answer at every stage.
Ten minutes, no cover letter. Tell us the role, where you are based and one thing you have made that you are proud of. Every application is read by a person on the hiring team.
Answer within 5 working days
Thirty minutes with the hiring manager. What you want to work on, what the role actually involves, and the honest version of compensation and location before either side invests more time.
Week 1
Two conversations. First a craft session: a practical technical exercise or a case relevant to the job, never unpaid production work. Then a values conversation with someone outside the team.
Weeks 2–3
A written offer with salary, equity and level explained in plain language. Onboarding is a structured 30-day plan with a buddy, and something shipped in your first month.
Week 4
Pick a role, tell us where you are and show us one thing you have made.
