Vision and market opportunity

A category with no incumbent, addressed by a platform built global-first rather than retrofitted for expansion.

The vision

BMT exists because hundreds of millions of people have never seen themselves rendered with production value. We are not building a channel or a content vertical. We are building the cultural operating system for Black and Muslim life on screen. The default home entertains from, and the platform advertisers, studios and rights holders route through to reach it.

  • BMT is the global home of Black Muslim television. One destination for drama, documentary, faith, sport and live culture.
  • Originals are rights-owned, so every commission compounds balance-sheet value instead of renting a licence window.
  • Three arms. Studios, Direct and Pulse. Feed one flywheel, unified by the BMT Core personalization engine.

The market opportunity

The audience is not niche, it is under-served. Roughly two billion Muslims globally, some four hundred million of them Black, with rising broadband penetration, young median ages and no dedicated premium platform competing for them.

TAM

Global streaming spend

Household subscription and ad-supported video worldwide, growing fastest in exactly the markets BMT is built for: West and East Africa, MENA and the Gulf, and diaspora Europe and North America.

SAM

Faith-conscious and culturally specific viewing

Black and Muslim audiences who currently assemble their viewing from fragments: satellite channels, social clips and mainstream catalogues that carry almost nothing made for them. No incumbent owns this segment.

SOM

BMT's beachhead

UK and Ireland first, then Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, the Gulf and North American diaspora households. Reachable through community, mosque and creator networks at a fraction of mainstream acquisition cost.
