Why BMT for rights holders

We are small enough to read every submission and large enough to pay properly for the ones we take.

An audience nobody else is serving

12.4 million reachable viewers who watch 6.4 hours a week and search actively for titles the mainstream aggregators bury.

  • Discovery weighted to region, language and faith rating
  • Editorial rails and BMT Core recommendations, not a dead catalogue page
  • Strong second-life performance for library and archive titles

A brand-safe home for your titles

Every title on BMT is owned or licensed and rated by our own team. There is no user-generated inventory and no advertising that conflicts with the audience's values.

  • Category exclusions on all ad-supported placements
  • Clear content labelling your marketing team can rely on
  • No re-cutting or re-titling without your written approval

Reporting you can actually audit

Monthly statements showing minutes viewed, completion rate and territory-level revenue per title. The same numbers our own commissioning team works from.

  • Title-level and episode-level performance data
  • Settlement within 30 days of statement, in your currency
  • A named partner manager for the life of the deal

Licensing models

Three deal shapes, all negotiable per title or per bundle. Most catalogues end up on a mix.

Licensing fee

Paid up front
Payment shape
A flat fee agreed per title or bundle, paid 50% on delivery and 50% on transmission.
Typical term
12, 24 or 36-month windows per territory.
Exclusivity
Non-exclusive by default; first-window exclusivity priced separately.
Reporting
Performance reporting for your records; no revenue reconciliation needed.
Best fit for
Completed catalogue and archive where you want certainty rather than upside.

Revenue share

Paid on performance
Payment shape
A share of subscription and advertising revenue attributed to minutes viewed, typically 30–50% to the licensor.
Typical term
24 months rolling, either party may exit at 90 days' notice after month 12.
Exclusivity
Non-exclusive, with a higher share offered for exclusive windows.
Reporting
Monthly statements with minutes viewed, completion and territory revenue.
Best fit for
Strong titles with a clear audience where you want to share the upside.

Hybrid

Fee plus share
Payment shape
A reduced advance against a revenue share, recouped from your share before ongoing payments begin.
Typical term
24 or 36-month windows per territory.
Exclusivity
Usually exclusive in the first window, then non-exclusive.
Reporting
Monthly statements including recoupment position against the advance.
Best fit for
Premium series and features where both sides want skin in the game.

Territorial rights and availability

High-level terms, not legal text. Full contracts follow once we agree the shape of a deal.

Global or regional, your call

A global licence puts your title in front of every BMT subscriber at once and earns the strongest terms. A regional licence covers only the markets you control, so you can keep selling the rest elsewhere. Most of our catalogue starts regional and expands as territories free up.

We work inside the rights you hold

Geo-fencing is enforced at the platform level, so a title licensed for the UK simply is not visible elsewhere. Existing holdbacks and exclusive windows with other platforms are respected as written, and titles come down automatically the day a window expires unless you renew.

Standard licensing terms

Territories
Available individually or bundled. If you only control two markets, we license those two and leave the rest alone.
Windows
12, 24 and 36-month windows, with first-window exclusivity negotiable. Holdbacks you already owe another platform are written into the deal.
Delivery
ProRes or IMF masters. BMT covers QC, localisation, subtitling and packaging.
Reporting
Monthly statements showing minutes viewed, completion and territory-level revenue per title.
Settlement
Payment within 30 days of statement, in your preferred settlement currency.

Discuss a deal

Tell us what you hold and where, and acquisitions will come back with an indicative offer.

Start a licensing conversation

Nothing here is binding. Fields marked with an asterisk are required. The rest helps us come back with a realistic proposal rather than a form letter.

For example: UK & Ireland, Nigeria, Gulf states.

Optional: title count, languages, existing holdbacks, delivery formats.

Acquisitions reviews submissions weekly and replies within five working days.
